The Ventura County Arts Council, Musicians on a Mission California, and The Collection at RiverPark recently established a grant program to benefit public and private high school music programs in Ventura County.

The funds will help high schools to buy instruments, sheet music, uniforms and educational tools.

In addition, many of the grants will help students in need of financial assistance to participate in music programs.

The Rock the Collection Summer Concert Series in Oxnard last summer raised $5,000 that was donated to the cause.
