Rock the Collection High School Grant Program

Funds Benefit Area High School Music Programs

Musicians on a Mission California, the Ventura County Arts Council, and The Collection at Riverpark have implemented a grant program to benefit music programs in public and private high schools in Ventura County. The program is now in its second year. Funds are offered to help students in need of financial assistance to participate in music programs, and to assist in purchase of instruments, sheet music, uniforms, and educational tools.

Funds were donated to this cause by “The Collection at Riverpark” in Oxnard as a result of the “2014 Rock the Collection Summer Concert Series.”

For 2014/15 school year grants have been allocated to the following high schools and will provide much-needed support for their music programs:

  • Adolfo Camarillo High School, Camarillo
  • Besant Hill School, Ojai
  • Rio Mesa High School, Oxnard

Coordinating organizations look forward to expanding the program in 2015, and ask for your financial support. Individuals and organizations interested in making a tax-deductible donation to assist in this effort are asked to contact Steve Wiley, Board Member of the Ventura County Arts Council, and Musicians on a Mission California at stevewiley@msn.com or by phone at (805) 495-3675.

Your charitable donation will go a long way in providing students with the chance to participate in music programs that may not otherwise have that opportunity.

Funds Benefit Area High School Music Programs

Representatives from Musicians on a Mission California, the Ventura County Arts Council, and Saint Bonaventure High School gathered on April 29, 2014 to celebrate a grant assisting Saint Bonaventure in purchasing a baritone saxophone for their Music Department.

Musicians on a Mission California, the Ventura County Arts Council, and The Collection RiverPark implemented a grant program to benefit public and private high schools in Ventura County. The funds assisted high schools to purchase instruments, sheet music, uniforms, and educational tools. In addition, many of the grants helped students in need of financial assistance to participate in music programs.

Five thousand dollars were raised from the “Rock the Collection Summer Concert Series” last summer and were donated to this cause by “The Collection Riverpark” in Oxnard. The following schools throughout Ventura County received grants for the 2013-14 school year:

  • Adolfo Camarillo High School, Camarillo
  • Nordhoff High School, Ojai
  • Rio Mesa High School, Oxnard
  • Royal High School, Simi Valley
  • Saint Bonaventure High School, Ventura
