Opening Doors Through
The Power Of Music

Musicians on a Mission California (MOAMCA), a non-profit corporation 501(c)(3), provides access to music through instrument “gift-aways,” mentorship, and performing opportunities for youth and members ofthe community.

  • MOAMCA was formed in August 2011 by musicians who grew up during the early days of Thousand Oaks, California. It received 501(c)(3) status in March 2012.
  • It is an all-volunteer effort, including Board members.
  • MOAMCA has gifted numerous instruments to individuals/schools.
  • MOAMCA provides showcasing opportunities for young people of all ages at numerous community venues and special events.
  • Volunteers provide music workshops at schools in the region and perform regularly at an assisted living facility and other venues throughout the year.
  • MOAMCA seeks to cultivate partnerships with other local organizations, including nonprofits, businesses, and governmental agencies.
  • MOAMCA works with civic agencies, schools, and businesses to further

  • MOAMCA’s mission flourishes through the efforts of volunteers giving their time and expertise, donors providing instruments and financial contributions, and a genuinely supportive community.
