Today’s youth are being bombarded with negative influences all around them and these guys are bringing forth positive impressions through the power of music. By sharing their skills and creating a platform for creative expression they are truly making a difference. I encourage everyone to support the work they are engaged in and get involved because it matters!

When the Ventura County Arts Council was awarded $5,000 to promote music programs in Ventura County high schools, we turned immediately to the MOAMCA for its experience in this area. Through our partnership we created the “High School Music Funding Program” and awarded grants to six schools across the county. With a program model in place we hope to expand the funding and number of grants in the coming years to include more schools.
