Funds Benefit Area High School Music Programs
Musicians on a Mission California, the Ventura County Arts Council, and The Collection at Riverpark have implemented a grant program to benefit music programs in public and private high schools in Ventura County. The program is now in its second year. Funds are offered to help students in need of financial assistance to participate in music programs, and to assist in purchase of instruments, sheet music, uniforms, and educational tools.
Funds were donated to this cause by “The Collection at Riverpark” in Oxnard as a result of the “2014 Rock the Collection Summer Concert Series.”
For 2014/15 school year grants have been allocated to the following high schools and will provide much-needed support for their music programs:
Coordinating organizations look forward to expanding the program in 2015, and ask for your financial support. Individuals and organizations interested in making a tax-deductible donation to assist in this effort are asked to contact Steve Wiley, Board Member of the Ventura County Arts Council, and Musicians on a Mission California at stevewiley@msn.com or by phone at (805) 495-3675.
Your charitable donation will go a long way in providing students with the chance to participate in music programs that may not otherwise have that opportunity.
